Hey everyone,
I have a new haiku, and I like the subject quite a bit so I'm excited to continue working on it. The sound space is Detroit's Eastern Market.
I think I'm going to put in a little narration but I'm not sure what I want to say yet. Eastern Market is a really special space for me. From the time I was 15 until I left for college my mom and I went there every Saturday to buy fruits and vegetables.
It was the first place that I really realized where food came from, and because of Eastern Market I eventually stopped eating meat. Anyway, here is the clip below. I think it needs a lot of work and finesse, but here's to beginnings!

I love when the guy says avocado and I think a couple more moments like that will help define your location and experience. That or like you said some narration. I'm looking forward to its development
ReplyDeleteI think you really do have something here, I love the part when the music comes in. I think that the overall chaos needs to be broken up with something, but work on it and I'm sure there is something hidden beneath it.
ReplyDeletei like this piece, there is alot of great sounds, but i think it needs some narraation maybe, because i dont know where it is and i want some sort of idea of that
ReplyDeleteWhen I just listen to it I get the feeling it has to do with food because the only thing I actually here in this piece is when the guy says "avocado." Overall I think it just needs to be a little more clear. I like the music though!
